FinTechs investing in banks: What could possibly go wrong?
Next week I'm hosting a fireside chat with Kirsty Rutter from Lloyds Bank on the topic of banks investing in FinTechs.
Kirsty is the Group FinTech Investment Director for the bank and is the executive charged with driving forward the bank's FinTech investment agenda.
I think it's fair to say that Kirsty is one of the leading Bank CVC executives in Europe, especially given the bank's recent track record of FinTech investments. Yes, other banks do occasionally make investments – but not at the scale and operational speed of the likes of what we're seeing from Lloyds.
So with this in mind, I'm delighted to be hosting this fireside chat with Kirsty. There is so much to talk about!
It's taking place on 4th December 2024 from 220pm-250pm at the fantastic FinTech Connect 2024 event.
Registration is free – it would be great to see you there. If you're at all interested in the mechanics, process and strategy around how banks make and manage strategic investments in FinTechs, I'd strongly recommend coming along to listen to Kirsty's perspectives.
See you there!
